One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. Get the Cuban fries too. French fries that tastes like it's been seasoned with garlic, vinegar, and lemon. So good. It sucks I can't bring this place back to Detroit with me.

For DTC, this place is phenomenal. Compared to Cuban fare I've had before (mostly in NYC), it is about average. - The sweet plantains were delicious. Nice crunch and perfectly sweet - The pulled pork was ok. Adding extra garlic and hot sauce made it pretty good - The black beans were pretty flavorless - The white rice (I wish they had traditional yellow) was also ok. Some flavor, but nothing special

As this being my 1st Cuban restaurant, I have nothing to compare the food to. I enjoyed the unique flavor of the sandwich, and the staff was friendly.

I stopped in with my sister for a late lunch (around 2:45pm) on a Saturday and found the place to be pretty quiet, but not dead. I debated between the mahi tempura sandwich and the veggie wrap, but just made my sister get one or the other, so I could try both! Muahaha. The mahi tempura sandwich consisted of mahi tempura, slaw, and a slightly spicy habanero aioli on whole grain ciabatta. The mahi was very crispy was complemented well with the slaw and the fluffy, yet crunchy ciabatta bread. I did notice that it tasted a bit salty (?), though. Maybe it was the aioli. The veggie wrap was served in a soft flour tortilla with white rice and beans, greens, cucumbers, other veggies, sweet plantains, and habanero aioli. It was actually like a mini burrito, but was unique because it was sweet and slightly spicy at the same time. I personally thought the sweet plantains were a great addition to all of the flavors in the wrap, but my sister thought it was weird -- she pulled the sweet plantains out. The wrap was served with plantain chips (they don't taste like anything), and slaw, which I didn't really care for. I liked the wrap better, but my sister liked the sandwich better. I only liked the wrap better because the mahi tempura was too oily for my liking, but that's just me. A note: both, my sister and I, we're full after eating half of the mahi sandwich, but wanted to try the wrap fresh, so forcefully ate the wrap at that sitting. Bad idea. We were so full, we didn't even eat dinner that night! So, portions = large. The interior was open and fairly clean. The music that was playing made me feel like I was at a bar at a beach -- it made me want to dance! The service was okay, nothing spectacular, but your encounter with the guy taking orders is short. The food was also prepared and served fairly quickly (around 10 minutes). I may be back to try some of their desserts at some point!

I want to give this place 5 stars. It just wasn't quite "totally crush me and blow me away" level. BUT...it was damn impressive for my 1st time at this location. Spent 10+ minutes hemming and hawing about various choices and finally ended up getting what my friend got: the Cubano and the sweet plantains. The sweet plantains are close enough to bananas you could potentially get em confused and no one would blame you for them. They're amazing fried/grilled up...I think they might be even better with a dash of cinnamon over them...but maybe that wouldn't be authentic. Better warm than cold (saved in fridge as a snack for later), but they're still pretty tasty cold. The Cubano is amazing and my 1 wish would be for maybe 20% more filling ingredients? I have no grousing with the preparation, the ingredients themselves or the bread. I spoke with the staff and apparently they fly the super thin, flaky bread (it's like flake pastry, almost) in from Miami. Bread from Miami...I'd think they could manufacture that locally...but maybe Miami just has it down to a science and it's affordable. I took 1/2 to said friend's house and had it halfway through a marathon Game of Thrones sesh, and it was just as good slightly cool as it was fresh off the grill, so be advise, snackers. :) Definitely one of my favorite new (for me) discoveries this year. Also, the Cuban music in the background makes for a nice setting to enjoy your food.

Easy access from I-25, CubaCuba serves up traditional Cuban fair. The Cubano is made from processed pork sandwich meat instead of slow roasted pork. The mahi sandwich is nicely spiced with their slaw, the Mahi lightly breaded and flakey. The fried plantains were delicious. A nice place for a lunch that's fast yet a little different. Enjoy the Cuban music while sitting out on their nice patio.

Great Cuban sandwich and fries! Sandwich was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Fries were nice and garlicky...couldn't have been happier!

Recently went back with Groupon (worth it) and had dinner for 3 to include dessert and coffee! We've tried there: empanadas, pork, steaks plates, aboth desserts and aavacado dip and fries, chicken sandwich, drinks ... Worth it!!

Had a Groupon for 4 and went with my family for dinner on Sunday. We seated ourselves right away. They don't really come to your table to get the order. We got a menu, decided what we wanted and went to the counter to order. The ordering was quick and the staff was very friendly. We got the Mojitos (which were very refreshing), the lechon plate, the pan de bistec, lechon wrap, pollo asado plate, and tostones,Cuban fries and sweet plantains as sides. Everything was very well made, brought to our tables quickly and very, very YUMMY!! We loved all the entrees and the sides. We then ordered a kid's plate of fish and fries and it was HUGE!! Again, very well made. We then decided to end this great meal with the tres leches cake and cortaditos. A great end to a very delicious meal!! The staff was very friendly and efficient. Loved the decor, especially the murals (see my pictures) and the lamps (made from Bustelo Coffee Cans). Will be coming back again soon!! :-)

This place definitely satisfied my craving for the closest thing I could find to Puerto Rican food in the Denver metro area. I had the flat steak with grilled onions and rice and black beans and tostone which I had never had with mojo sauce and sweet plantains. My husband had the steak sandwich which he loved. We also got the Cubano sandwich but requested the slow roasted pork offered in the pan con lechon and it was fabulous -- I strongly urge the owner to replace the pork she currently uses on the Cubano with the pan con lechon and keep the ham and other ingredients the same and you will have a winning Cubano sandwich. I will be back for sure!

We came by for a quick dinner and I had the Chicken Plate and Hubs had the Pork Plate. Both come with the same garlic mojo sauce which is good and very garlicky. Surprisingly, I found the chicken better than the pork. The pork was kind of dry. We asked for a couple sides of chimichurri to try and that was delicious. If you come in again, I think Hubs will definitely opt for the steak plate with chimichurri. It was HH (3-6), so we had a couple mojitos ($2 off) and an order of the fried plantains (all sides are 1/2 off during HH). The mojitos were actually pretty good. I thought my soda was a bit flat but otherwise, they weren't too sweet. The fried plantains were OK. I don't think I'd order them again.

Slow roasted pork, ay ay ay eeeholay! I do love this place and crave it often. The plantains (all varieties, chips, sweet, etc.) are so comforting and satisfying. I have not sampled the other items on the menu besides the Lechon Plate (hold the beans add veggie slaw instead please) and the Ensalada Cubana beacuse, well..I'm addicted to slow roasted pulled pork of course! My only small beef with this place is how crowded it gets at lunch, so many times you can to stalk and wait over people to get their table. Also, whenever I order a to-go Ensalada Cubana, the crispy pork portion is tiny. C'mon people, didn't I say I am addicted to the pork!

I LOVE this place. I have had every sandwich they offer and they're all amazing. My favorite though is the Cuba Cuba salad (and I hardly ever eat salads) avocado and pulled pork... Can't go wrong with that.

Love this place! We found Cuba Cuba on accident one day when we were heading over to Illegal Petes (which is another awesome place). I like everything about the food here. There is a variety of sandwiches, wraps and plates that makes it easy for all types of people to find something they like. The lechon sandwich is my favorite! The flavors are just perfect. Also, the fries are skinny and crispy and very delicious. They also have a great reweards program that I have taken advantage of several times now. My only complaint about this place is the size of the resturant. It is very small and it fills up quickly at lunch time.

  • Nick L.

I've been to a few of their locations and this is a great lunch spot! You can get in and out pretty fast and the food is damn good. I can vouch for the Pan Con Lechon and the Pan Con Bistec. Both were tasty and full of fresh flavor. The meats are cooked well and mixed well with the other toppings on the sandwich. I can only assume Fidel Castro would be pleased with the quality of the food here! I have no plans to visit Cuba anytime soon but that could change if this is any indication of the quality of food in Cuba.

Solid solid place. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with sweet plantains for lunch. Service was friendly and quick, considering the lunch rush. Cuban was good, but not great. I did like the "Cuban bread", that was different than I have had. The sweet plantains on the other hand were AMAZING! Very very good. I would eat here again, no question. I would likely recommend it as well. A five star to me is a "can't miss" place.

Great place. I was just off of a trip down to Southern Florida where I ate quite a bit of Cuban food. This was exactly what I was looking for. I had the slow roasted pork and it was perfect. I also had the sweet plantains. They had great taste, but it was a huge serving. I also had tres leches, and just like the young man behind the counter said, it tastes just like my grandma's, it was fantastic. Great food, Fast service.

It's very possible that I ordered wrong.... I got the sandwich combination... Which is half a sandwich + 2 sides.. I had the Cuban sandwich with Cuban fries and plaintain chips... And everything was SO greasy!! I felt kinda nauseous after eating it... I barely touched the fries bc it was just too much.... BUT my coworkers got the steak plate and chicken plate and they both enjoyed their food!! The fried plaintains were also pretty darn delicious. So next time, I would order the steak plate with a side of fried plaintains. So yes... I'm more than willing to give this place another try. It was sooooo fast too! Our food came out in minutes. Perfect for people who work in DTC and only have a short time for lunch. SO easy and fast to pick up to go!! But I warned ya! Don't bother getting the fries... Plantain chips were just okay too... Pick different sides if you're getting the sandwich combo! I highly recommend the fried plantains!

Yum yum yum. Great pork sandwich and mojito. Busy at dinnertime which means they are doing great as the DTC location isn't exactly the place usually packed at dinner. Plantain chips and polite fast service. Yum again!

Two words-ensalada cubana! It's the only things I've had at Cuba Cuba and it's the only thing I want to have. I grew up in South Florida so to say I miss good Cuban food is an understatement so the additional of Cuba Cuba Sandwicheria to DTS is much welcomed. Parking is a pain in this shopping center but the quick service and food makes up for it. The ensalada cubana comes with a roasted pork that leaves my mouth watering just typing about it--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside along with a generous portion of avocado and hearts of palm with a tangy vinaigrette. I like that the salad is so simply with just a few ingredients yet it's out of this world. Their Cuban coffee is not to be missed either so if you're in the need of a jolt -come here and get lunch and caffeine! You can order online through Eat24 as well if you're in a hurry!

First trip was great. Cute shop that is clean with festive decor. Pan con lechon sandwich was shredded pork with pickled cabbage in a soft bolillo for $8. We also tried the Cubano for $7.50 which was good but not the best I have had but was still pretty good except it was not crispy (too moist). We had Cuban fries which are shoestring fries coated in a garlic olive oil sauce..yummy. We also had a tres leeches which they do in a cupcake like form but it was delicious. The barista also knew how to make a good cotta ditto which is espresso with condensed milk. I would def come back.

I love this place! Nothing else feels as authentic as Cuba Cuba. This location just opened up in the DTC area. I've been to the one off Colorado and I really enjoyed it there. I've tried the Cuban sandwich, pulled pork, shredded beef, and a salad. Also, the beans, tostones, slaw, and rice. Soon yummy! I highly recommend this place!!!

Seeing the great reviews on yelp and being hungry for just about anything, we decided to try this place out. The atmosphere was great, the menu looked delicious, and it smelled fantastic. Being a Cuban restaurant, most of us ordered something with pork, and to our disappointment lacked flavor. All the food seemed just good, nothing great or extraordinary. The only thing that seemed great in my eyes was their plantain chips which had great flavor and gave me better understanding of the delicious cuisine of Cuba. Which seemed to be one of my objectives of visiting the place. Overall expectations were high, but we're sadly disappointed from the mediocre food, little to be memorable enough.

Ahhhh....I'm IN LOVE with Cuba Cuba. The lechon sandwich with a side of tostones is about as good as you can feasibly get from a fast casual restaurant. I love the tang of the slaw and how it cuts into the richness of the pork. The one thing I wish the sandwich had was some heat, but even without it, it is so tasty. I tried the tres leches cake last time I visited and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good! They squit the milks on right before serving, so it isn't true tres leches, but it was still good. Highly recommend.

Cubano hits the spot! Finally some new flavor in town! The fact that yelp wont post short reviews annoys me immensely. Eat here!

Have eaten / ordered from here at least 4 times and haven't been disappointed. There are generally a lot of folks dining here at any given time and that alone says a lot. Ordering ahead online is a breeze. If I could complain about anything, I think the portions are smallish and on some of the plates they get carried away w the garlic. Still incredible and well worth their reasonable prices. Make sure you get some black beans with whatever you order.

Delicious! I don't know how the other sandwich place in this parking lot gets any business. Only downside of this place is not much selection and smaller portion size then I thought. But, it definitely has a good kick to their sandwiches. They are fresh. And the quality of every ingredient is great! Ok, I upped the stars to 5 cause the owner just threw trash away. And then had a friendly conversation with the couple across the room. (I think he was the owner.)

This place is great Everyone is friendly, and the food is delicious. Plantains and Tostones are my absolute favorite and they made them perfectly. Service is always fast weather there or ordering online. Café con Leche is awesome! Definitely going back!

Stopped by for a quick lunch, and I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't knocked out either. My steak sandwich was good, not great, and not cheap either. The bread was great, a nice break from the usual, but the Chimichurri Sauce wasn't even noticeable, and the steak was a bit tough/gristly. With plaintains, which were nothing special, my bill came to $11 and change, without a drink. The staff is efficient, and handles the lines well. There's outdoor seating, and the place is immaculate. I'd give them another chance, but I'm not rushing off to Cuba Cuba anytime soon.

We went around noon on a Friday and it was very busy. We had to wait in line to order and wait for a table to open. The service was fast and pleasant, but I did feel rushed. I ordered the Lechon Plate, which was black beans, rice, and seasoned pork. The seasonings were very mild. Honestly I'd go to Chipotle if I wanted pork, beans, and rice again. Maybe their sandwiches are delicious and that's why it's so popular? But I can tell you their sandwiches didn't look very big to me. I gave them 3* because there wasn't any glaring reason to give less, this place just isn't for me and I probably won't be back.

Yay for the new DTC location! Yay for incredible pork! And yay for a delicious lunch that doesn't break the bank. I had their combination with allows you half of a pork or cuban sandwich (I ordered the pork having had the Cuban at their Colorado Blvd location), and then you also pick two sides, so I had the tostones and empanada. You get 3-4 tostones, all crispy and delicious, and 1 empanada. It was perfect for a little bit of everything, and a great deal for $7.45! The pulled pork is borederline craveable. It's been a few days since I ate there and I oddly find myself thinking about coming back again very soon as pulled pork has invaded my thoughts daily. The space here is pretty small, similar in decor and layout to their location in Cityset. They also have a few tables on the patio. This shopping center (same lot as Tavern DTC) can get pretty busy during lunchtime, but it is so nice to have another option in the area. I will definitely be back!

A unique little place! Great for lunch with generous portions. A change of pace from the normal chain places. Fast service, too!

The Cuban sammiches oddly tasted like Paninis.. the Habanero sauce was white and wasn't spicy at all.. Maybe it's indicative of the Midwest states.... the Tres Leche cake made up for everything.. It was just awesome.. I'd skip the sammiches and go for dessert...

Good little Cuban place. Nice staff and delicious Mojito's! More of a fast food type of restaurant, though they do serve alcohol. Will return when I'm in the mood for a fast bite. Not the best Cuban food I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable.

Well, part of me want to give this place 1 star and tell you that I got food poisoning just so everyone avoids it and I can still get my Cuban and tostones without waiting in an enormous line, but ITS JUST NOT TRUE. This place is amazing and after my first visit, I told my wife that it wont be long before there is a line down the sidewalk. I have been there 4 times and each time its equally as good and the employees are very friendly. The prices are good and the food is even better. I have had the Cuban, the bisteque, the pork sandwich, plaintains, tostones, mahi salad, empanadas, Cuban fries and everything is spot on. LOVE IT!! To the owners...please open one in Highlands Ranch.

Been waiting for this location to open! So happy they came to DTC!! Great flavor and great prices, super quick too. I usually order the palomilla, but this time tried the lechon Asada and it was so delicious! A lot of garlic, so may not wanna eat this if you have to go back to work (I'm on my lunch break but this is so good I'll eat it anyways and let my office suffer.. Hehe) The sweet plantains are also so great, remind me of homemade food from my mom. The garlic fries are also great, but again.. Garlicky (duh!). Empanadas were great and if you ever get a chance to try the Vaca Frita special- it's not always available- do try it, you will not be disappointed!

We were headed to Jason deli's and then noticed this cute little place with outdoor seating. Awesome we had the chicken wrap and it was perfect. Well seasoned moist and came with onions and rice. The plantains are the best. Also ordered an empanada. So flaky and filled with a tasty beef. We will definitely be back. U must try this place

What a great addition to this food-heavy plaza. The Steak Sandwich and Cubano Pork Sandwich are outstanding, and the fries are some of the best in town. Some say a sandwich is a sandwich, but these really are unique at a good price. Highly recommend!

  • Susana C.

The Patacones are amazing, as well as the plaintain chips, maybe a little more salt will make them even better. The kids portions are reasonable for little kids and are tasty too. And the slow-roasted pork is the best, no matter how you order it!

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally stopped in for lunch with a co-worker. Food was great; I got the cubano and sweet plantains. There were other items I would like to try on future visits. Our food came out really fast but I think we just beat the lunch rush because the line was out the door shortly after we arrived. I expect this is a place I will stop for lunch at least once a month. Only downside is that it is a little pricey for a casual restaurant; but worth it for the food quality.

Delicious!!! Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. I got the pork sandwich, my dad got the Cuban, my husband got the mahi sandwich and to round everything out we shared the Cuban fries and I also got an empanada. Everything was delicious!!! The pork sandwich had some fresh slaw and the pork had a nice smokey vinegary flavor. The Cuban had a good balance of cheese, pork, ham, mustard and pickles, all on a soft toasty bread. The mahi sandwich was the only entree that was alright, good, just not as good as the others. The fries were nice and garlicky, with a bit of tang and sweetness. But the true star of the meal was the empanada. Let me tell you what, those beauties are de-lish!!!!! I let everyone try a bit of mine and we all got two more Togo afterwards. That is six more empanadas for those that are mathematically handicapped, all after finishing a big meal. The savory beef filling is wrapped in puff pastry and fried till golden brown and delicious!!!!! I am completely full, but I'm still drooling over these empanadas and looking forward to eating the leftovers. Get the empanadas, you won't be sorry!

This place has a great lunch menu, good food at a good price. I typically get a sandwich combo with a couple sides. I prefer the Cubano, but the pork sandwich is good as well. If you're in Dtc during lunch, check this place out, but do not go from 12-1 unless you're prepared to wait in line.

Having lived in FL for 10 years. I can tell you this is pretty damn close to what you'll get in Miami. This place is heaven sent for me being Puerto Rican and Filipino descent, I crave tostones and maduros. Plantains are really hard to find here in Denver or maybe I'm just not going to the right store. Anyway their sandwiches are pretty good, room for improvement with the ham they use in the Cubanos. Pan con bistec is excellent, wish they would give you more Chimichurri sauce (maybe I'm just being greedy). But their sides are on point. Tostones, Maduros, Mojo fries, Plantain Chips, even the flan is delicious. My family will be going back again and again.

Me and my wife decided to check this place out one night and boy are we glad that we did. Since we've never been, we asked the cashier to give us recommendations on what we should ordered. He recommended the steak sandwich for my wife and steak plate for me and we also ordered sweet plantains on the side. Total came to $19, loving it already. We got our meals 10 - 15 minutes after ordering, so that was good because we were famished. Upon our first bites, we were quite impressed by the flavor. It's fast, it's delicious and cheap. Our 3 favorite words. Highly recommend to order the sandwiches and sweet plantains.

Went in here for a lovely lunch with fellow DTC lunch goers. I got the cuban sandwich and it was actually pretty tasty. I am not usually a fan of mustard, but it gave the sandwich a nice subtle mustard taste; nothing overpowering. It was also a nice sized portion for lunch. I actually didn't know you're suppose to pay for a side. It was my fault for assuming it came with a side of fries or something side dishy. No wonder the cashier gave me an odd look when I said that sandwich was all I wanted. All in all, it was a nice spot for lunch and I will be back!

I've been to Cuba Cuba sandwicheria in the DTC a few times with my coworkers. We always look forward to going! I keep ordering the same thing because it's soooo good! The veggie wrap! It's stuffed with rice, black beans, sweet plantains and avocado. Every time we go back, I say I will try one of their other veggie dishes (just a couple for the vegetarians) but I always go back to the wrap. I think about this wrap constantly. It's served with a side of slaw that's fresh, crisp and has a bit of heat. In addition, it's accompanied by plantain chips. I feel like these could have a bit more flavoring - they're a bit plain. Get here early during the lunch hour - the place fills up! There is great outdoor seating if the weather allows. By noon, there is a line out the door. The owners are very nice and often working on site!

The first time I went here, I tried the Palomilla (steak) wrap. Eh, it was ok. I was hoping for a more medium rare cooked steak pieces, but it was cooked through and too dry for my liking. The plantain chips that were included were a nice touch, however. The second time I went, I figured I would try what I was told was the most popular: the Pan con Lechon (pork sandwich), and I absolutely see why it is. It was super delicious! The slaw that comes with it is a perfect blend! I haven't ventured out to try other things yet, because it's so good! Also, I tried the cortadito. It was not that hot, so I'm not sure if the person making it knew what he was doing. Plus, it took him a very long time to make it. One negative thing: each time I have been there usually takes about 15 or so minutes to get my food. I think that's too long for a fast-casual place.

Stopped by here after getting a haircut. I love a good cuban sandwich, but was let down. The pork was excellent, the bread was good but the ham came across as cheap deli ham.... almost spam like. They also put too much cheese on it for my taste. Next time will be a half order of cheese. Otherwise, a little bland in the flavor. I really think they missed it on the mustard sauce. May go here again but I won't be getting a cuban sandwich.

So glad there is a location right around the corner from my office...ohhhh......this could be deliciously dangerous for me ;) Love the sandwiches and of course the mojitos are always fresh and never disappoint! I really like the patio at this location too.

A delicious outpost of Cuba Cuba Cafe and Bar within walking distance? Don't mind if I do! Their el Cubano salad is seriously one of the best salad interpretations of a Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Okay, it's the only one I've had, but it is really tasty with crispy pork and hearts of Palm. Cuba Cuba continues to have one of the best chimmichurris around. I highly recommend grabbing a mojito while you're at it. I'm always impressed by the Cuba Cuba cafe and bar, and this Sandwicheria is no exception.

Food was too less. I ordered Pollo a LA planca plate. I'm giving it 2 stars cos the taste was really good. I wish there was more rice. Too less food. Too less food for the money. I am hungry. so hungry. I might stop by at Jimmy Johns after this.

Fun atmosphere, great sandwich. We also ordered the fried plantanes which were great. We got some plantane chips as well, not sure if they came with sandwich but were delicious. My only complaint was the gal that was working spoke so quietly we could barely hear her. She wasn't very friendly. It felt like we were disturbing her by ordering. Otherwise great lunch! Will be back!

I love that a Cuba Cuba opened up in DTC. We went the week it opened, and I went again today (first stop before home after arriving back in Denver). I ordered the pescado plate with maduros for me and the veggie wrap for my bf. The cashier there was super nice and a great conversationalist. She introduced me to their rewards program, which customers should sign up for. There is more outdoor seating now, and the awesome music adds to the chill atmosphere. We ordered takeout, and our order was ready in 5 minutes. The food was delicious as always.

Glad to see this location open up in DTC. We've been to the other locations and have always gotten the sandwiches. This time we thought we'd try something different and try their plates. Unfortunately, they were pretty disappointing. The meat for both the pork (lechon) and steak (palomilla) were very dry and overcooked, the beans were EXTREMELY salty and the servings really small (pork was slightly better sized). The only redeeming part was the rice... The Tres Leches desert is a complete disaster... a cinnamon vanilla cupcake with condensed milk drizzled on top does not a tres leches cake make... We'll come back but probably just stick to the sandwiches next time. (If you want some REAL Cuban food... I would recommend going to Mississippi and Chambers)

Not bad for a chain restaurant, the restaurant is clean and the service staffs are friendly, the food are decent quality and fairly priced, although the pulled pork is not the best in town, Frijoles in Lakewood definitely has that the best.

I had the bistec sammich and it although the meat itself was good the sammich as a whole was not... it was missing something like some sort of sauce or condiment. I was really looking forward to this place with all the hype reviews and I love sandwiches; for me to declare this makes me sad. I will have to go again and try the Cuban and will update this accordingly. plus I'm not sure how I feel about the shoelace fries yet.. but I don't think I'm a fan of 'em.

Omg! Finally some good Cuban food in the Denver area! Wife and I shared a Cuban sandwich along with a Pan con Bistec! Also has Tostones which were amazing if you love garlic, we also shared the plantain chips which were also perfect. Prices aren't bad at only $7 a sandwich and $2 a side! Good mojitos and a wonderful white wine sangria! Must visit in an amazing shopping center for food.

Fantastic! The Cuban sandwich is incredible, plantains are a MUST for a side and if you're looking for a plate, the shredded pork w/rice and some sort of garlic sauce is amazing!!!

So bomb, great lunch spot in DTC if you like Cuban food. The owners are as authentic as they come and it shows.

Hot damn. Where do I start. Came in here on my lunch break to bring my pops and I home some cuban sandwiches. Admittedly, I am a cuban cuisine virgin, so I was particularly excited to try this out. I decided "when in Cuba Cuba" might as well sample some other stuff I can't get usually order anywhere else. I ordered a cortadito coffee drink which the young, handsome cashier whipped up and served to me promptly as I waited for my to-go order. It was FANTASTIC. Bold, rich, and sweet. The music playing inside was lively and fun. Don't speak a lick of spanish, but didn't matter - I found myself humming and wiggling in my seat, recalling some of my samba, afro-caribe dance class moves, then out of the corner of my eye I see one of the cooks just singing and dancing away as he prepared food in the kitchen. How fun! I'm glad that good energy was going into the food, now I'm truly excited about my order. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and the steak version for my pops. I also ordered a side of sweet plantain and for the hell of it, the dulce de leche cake for later on. On my drive home, I DEVOURED the plantain and half my sandwich. That wasn't planned, but what turned into "let me just get a taste at the stop light" turned into this ravenous, ridiculous pile of brown paper wrap all across the front seats of my car. So. stinking. good. I was plenty stuffed as I walked in my home, could only eat the half. I hovered over my dad as he unwrapped his steak sandwich. It truly looked amazing. He couldn't even verbalize a response after the first bite. I'm sitting there demanding feedback, "well, well?!", and he's just grunting and moaning, takes another bite, still no words. Now I'm just being teased, so I walked out of his room and called it good! I go to my kitchen, and carve a bite out of the dulce de leche cake. WOWWWW!!! If I wasn't so full off of my sandwich I would have devoured the entire cake. Luckily I was able to put the spoon down and walk upstairs to my office and begin working again. The steak sandwich is next on my list for my return trip that is surely happening, and soon. Maybe not. I was seeing some of the plate lunches come out with the side of rice and black beans from the kitchen to people's tables and they looked amazing too, as did the wraps. Yes, I see several return trips in my future, with a side of plantain and a cortadito each time!

I had the Pescado Plate and it was delicious! Veggie slaw has a fun spicy twist. Service is fast with consistent delicious quality! Sitting out on the patio during a nice spring day with a $3.50 beer is always a good way to enjoy your lunch break!

I had the lunch special - Vaca Frita - today and it was literally so good that I felt compelled to write my first ever yelp review. The meat was so tender I could easily pull it apart wig my fork and yet it was crispy from being fried. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this to your regular menu!!! I would order that every time I'm there!

Great food for a fast food restaurant. Since I tried it for the first time, I became a big fan. The plate menu is a satisfying meal. We ordered 3 different plate meals (pork, steak, and tempura fish) and they were all tasty. All the guys working there were friendly and upbeat. I wish a lot of success on this business!

I just moved to the area and stopped by here for the first time. I found the service to be quick and friendly. It was my first time having a Cuban sandwich/food and it was a little different than what I expected. I was thinking it would have a bit more heat like Mexican or Indian food, but it was very mild. I had the pan con lechon(pork sandwich). It was large and a great value for the $8 I paid for it. It was full of nicely seasoned pork and topped with a little slaw. In the description it listed sauteed onions, but I only found 2 on my sandwich. The bread tasted great and was fresh. Overall a good sandwich. Its a place I would go back to for lunch if I happened to be near by, buts its nothing I would drive miles out of my way to get.

It was good I don't think we'd go out of our way to cone back though. We had the Cuban sandwich with the Cuban fries which were pretty good. Service was friendly and quick probably because of the weather. The salad with the sherry vinaigrette was good I wish I would of tried the tres leches cake it looked delicious

Have eaten Cuba Cuba twice a week, at the least, since finding it. It's good and acceptable like a decent hand shake. Have stopped eating there since finally exploring other options in the area.

Tried this place twice..the first time was pretty horrible...it was the lunch rush but there were only a couple of other tables occupied. The service was horrible and for the price the food wasnt anything specatular. I had to go find our waiter to get our check and to have our plates picked up. I thought this might have been a one time thing...nope, food still blah service still horrible... would not recommend this place to anyone and you will never see me here...

I really like this place. Always friendly staff and quick service. The food is delicious. Rare to find genuine Cuban food in Colorado. Although I am not sure why they don't have yellow rice. The place itself is abit small and the chairs are not really comfortable. But otherwise I am glad they opened a location in the tech center. I recommend the sweet plantains.

I was really impressed by this new spot. Delicious Cuban Mojo fries are just the start. They use great bread, fresh ingredients, and tons of flavor. You pay for what you get. Want a dollar menu that came from a box? Yea, I crave that too sometimes, but Cuba Cuba is so much better. Amazing roast pork, crispy slaw, delicious aioli piled on toasted bread....and options for all taste buds. A must stop spot! I'll be back many times.

Yummy! Such profound words to describe good food. I had the Cuban sandwich, my husband had the mahi-mahi. Excellent flavor. We came during Happy Hour and had the mojitos. They were made perfectly! We also tried the cortadito (single shot of coffee with evaporated milk). I am done with Starbucks after that. Soooo good!!! I work close and will be back.

Felt I had to go with the staple Cubano on my first visit. Wasn't disappointed. Great size sandwich and well priced. Will definitely make me come back a try another menu item. Great addition to the DTC area and will add to my rotation of lunch spots

Great new place in DTC! Working at the Tavern it's awesome to have a place with great food to switch it up from the usual work food. Favorite is always the Cubano!

I love this place! And now it's in my own backyard. We happen to be here on the first day it was open and it was all just as good as the Golden Triangle location or the Glendale location. Do not leave without a single shot of the coffee. You'll be back for more.

A little Cuban music in the background, some plantain chips and a hot sandwich... In the middle of the Denver Tech Center. We had a nice lunch there. Mahi mahi and steak sandwiches are very good. The fries were hot and garlicky. Definitely check it out.

Absolutely delicious Cuban sandwiches!! Very pleasant staff. We were visiting from Dallas, TX and happened to find this place. I'm so glad we did as we don't have Cuban places in the metroplex that I know of. Definitely, will go back next time while in Denver area.

Haven't even finished my sandwich and must write a review. If you even sort of like fish, give the MINUTA DE PESCADO a try. Sweet, spicy, savory, crunchy, all in one. You may think, "that's not saying a lot for the tech center", but believe me, you won't be sorry. Finish it off with some Sweet Plantains on the side and you'll be a happy tech center commuter on your trafficy drive home. I have always enjoyed other Cuba Cuba locations, but I'm pretty impressed with this one and the fish sandwich, especially.

My first visit was to the one by Cherry Creek which was great, so when I found out about this location I was ecstatic. My first visit, I ordered bistec de palomilla with tostones. The quality of the meat was pretty bad & the tostones were very stale and dry. They had just opened so I figured they needed some time to get their act together, so I decided to give them another chance. About a month later I ordered lechón & there was hair in it, the second plate sent out also had a hair in it, except this time it was in the rice. I was disappointed when I took a peep in the kitchen & noticed two older women cooking with their hair not even covered nor tied up. That completely grossed me out. I'm giving this location 3 stars because the music is awesome and so is their dessert. It's really a cafeteria style place to eat, so don't expect to be waited on, it's like going to a Subway. Since I always need my Cuban food fix having lived in Miami for over 18 years, I'll continue to visit the one by Cherry Creek & downtown for better quality food and service.

I work close to this place and I frequent it often. The food is great. The bread for the sandwich is just amazing. I love the Cuban sandwich, and my co-worker swears by the pan con pollo. Service is fast and friendly. Love it.

I thought my pork sandwich was okay. I really wanted to leave a high review like the ones I saw before my visit, but I rate my experiences based on just that MY experience. I walked in, there was one person waiting on / placing their order when I arrived. There were two people working behind the counter. I wasn't acknowledged when I came in, but no big deal, as I wasn't sure what to order as of yet. Well I thought no big deal, that is until the door opened behind me and the next patron was greeted with an exuberant welcome. He was then asked if he had ever been in before. The man told him he had been. Then, he was told that he could come on down to the register to have is order taken. I'm 6'2" and 200lbs. I remind myself when I consider that he may not have seen me...Wow! I let him know that I was next and place my order. As I stated above, I ordered the pork sandwich. I thought the flavor was a little on the weak side. The meat was plentiful though. For a $10 sandwich it was ok. A word of caution, if you order this, wrap some napkins around the bottom of the wrapper or it will drip on your clothes and have you looking like, well, a mess!

Was going to go to Illegal Pete's for lunch but the line was out of the door and not moving. So I opted to try Cuba Cuba and am glad I did. Had the steak sandwich and plantain fries and a drink $13. Sandwich was sizable and tasty. Plantain chips were OK but I would have preferred more salt, service was fast, place was clean and bright. I will definitely be back.

Great food and excellent service! Went to the Colorado blvd location months ago and wasn't impressed with the food or service. Saw a groupon for this newer location and decided to check it out. Was blown away with how accommodating these guys were, and how eager they were to make sure we enjoyed our experience there. Will definitely come back!

This place is fantastic! I am a Dominican born and raised in New York. This is authentic Cuban cuisine that would rival some Cuban restaurants in Miami. Fantastic job! Please build a location up further north (Broomfield, Thornton, etc) I-25 and 144th street would be an ideal location!
